The AFU lost more than 250 soldiers and two tanks on the Kursk direction over the day


The Russian army has eliminated more than 250 militants and two tanks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Kursk Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 27.
"Over the day the losses of the AFU amounted to more than 250 servicemen. Two tanks, an infantry fighting vehicle, an armored personnel carrier, two armored combat vehicles, three vehicles and a mortar were destroyed," the ministry said in a statement.
The total number of losses of the AFU for the entire time of hostilities in the region amounted to more than 36,000 people. In addition, the Russian military destroyed 223 tanks, 157 infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs), 1,199 armored combat vehicles (ACVs), 304 artillery pieces, 70 electronic warfare (EW) stations and a lot of other equipment and transport of the AFU, including Western-made ones.
Earlier in the day, the Rosgvardiya reported that its special forces had destroyed AFU personnel in the Kursk region. Employees of the agency found a point of temporary deployment of militants in a forest area and hit it with a kamikaze drone.
On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry showed the combat work of units of the Guards Airborne Assault Don Cossack Regiment from Feodosia of the Novorossiysk Guards Mountain Division of the Airborne Troops (VDV), which hit an AFU BMP in the border area of Kursk Region. The paratroopers struck the Ukrainian vehicles with an anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) launcher. The second BMP attempted to escape, but was caught up by an FPV drone.
The Ukrainian military attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
