A ship with tourists on board capsized in the Murmansk region


A pleasure boat with tourists on board overturned in the waters of the Barents Sea in the Murmansk region. This was reported on Wednesday, November 27, in the Telegram-channel of the North-West Transport Prosecutor's Office.
It is specified that the incident occurred in the village of Teriberka. According to the Izvestia source, there were 11 tourists on board the ship "Boets". They were rescued by the vessel "St. Catherine".
"All delivered to the shore," - stated in the message of the agency.
At the moment the circumstances of the incident are being established. Murmansk transport Prosecutor's office is conducting an inspection of the implementation of legislation on the safety of movement and operation of water transport.
Earlier, on October 18, near the southern coast of Sakhalin overturned cargo ship "Grigory Lovtsov", carrying sand and crushed stone. There were seven crew members on board. According to the latest data of the regional Investigative Committee, two people died after the vessel capsized, one was saved. The fate of the remaining four is still unknown.
