On November 27, the Prosecutor General of Russia Igor Krasnov arrived in the Chelyabinsk Region on a working visit.

During the trip, a meeting with residents of the region is planned, where they will be able to ask their questions to representatives of local authorities in order to get an objective picture of the state of law and the rights of citizens in the region.

The trip of the Prosecutor General began with laying a wreath at the memorial complex "Eternal Flame" dedicated to the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War.

The day before, on Krasnov's instructions, representatives of the central office of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office arrived in Chelyabinsk and organized a reception of citizens. At the moment more than 250 applications have been received.

Following the working visit, the Prosecutor General will meet with the staff of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Chelyabinsk region.

Earlier, on November 21, Krasnov and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a working meeting in Tashkent, during which the parties discussed a project on cyber security. According to Krasnov, the prosecutors' offices of both countries "fruitfully cooperate" on a wide range of issues related to protecting citizens' rights and fighting crime. In addition, the Russian Prosecutor General noted that he fully supports Mirziyoyev's point of view on the need to establish systemic cooperation between the CIS competent authorities to improve methods of combating modern criminal threats.
