About 15 km of roads will be upgraded in the Pskov agglomeration in 2024


More than 14.5 km of roads have been upgraded in the Pskov agglomeration since the beginning of 2024. The works were carried out within the framework of the national project "Safe Quality Roads". They have already been completed at almost all sites.
The Pskov agglomeration includes Pskov, Pskov, Ostrovsky, and Palkinsky districts, as well as Pechorsky municipal district, Pskov newswire notes.
The regional committee for transportation and road economy informed the agency that in Pskov, sections of Yubileynaya Street and Krestovsky Highway have been repaired. In addition, it was possible to renovate Nikolai Vasilyev and Rosa Luxemburg streets throughout their entire length. The overhaul of Gherman Street continues.
In the city of Ostrov the asphalt concrete pavement on Shumeiko Street was put in order. In Pechora municipal district repaired 12 objects of street and road network in several settlements, as well as cleaned up Automobile Street in the city of Pechory.
The committee drew attention to the fact that at the beginning of the national project, in 2019, the share of repaired roads of the Pskov agglomeration was equal to 31.4%. This year, the plan is to achieve an indicator of 89.9%.
At the end of September it was reported that more than 14 km of the highway Pechory - Kachanovo - Pytalovo - Vyshgorodok was repaired in the Pytalovo municipal district. The repair was carried out on the section between the settlements Savintsy and Vyshgorodok, which is also a bypass road of Pytalovo. The highway is in demand among local residents, it is a part of the backbone network of the region and provides regular cargo and passenger transportation.
