The AFU launched drone and artillery strikes on Zaporizhzhya NPP


The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have carried out six drone attacks and two artillery strikes on the territory of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant (ZNPP) and the Enerhodar settlement. This was reported by the Defense Ministry on November 27.
"All unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by means of air defense or suppressed by means of electronic warfare", - specified in the summary.
As a result of the attacks, there is no damage to the facility and no casualties. The plant staff continues to work normally, the radiation situation near ZNPP is normal.
A day earlier, the Defense Ministry reported that during the day the AFU carried out five shelling and three drone attacks on Energodar and the territory adjacent to the ZNPP. Two drones were destroyed by air defense forces and one was suppressed by REB means.
Before that, on November 15, Rosatom notified the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) about the massive shelling by the AFU using barrel artillery in Energodar. It was noted that a young man was killed as a result of the attacks.
On November 5, the AFU attempted to disrupt the rotation of the International Atomic Energy Agency observers by shelling a part of the road the mission was supposed to follow. The attack caused significant damage to the roadway. Nevertheless, thanks to the efforts of the Russian army, the experts were safely transported to ZNPP.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces shell the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, as well as Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions on a daily basis against the backdrop of the special operation to protect Donbas, the start of which was announced by Russia on February 24, 2022.
