Drivers with an outstanding criminal record may be banned from transporting children

The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation has proposed to increase the liability of bus drivers who transport organized groups of children. The ministry suggested that drivers with an unexpunged or unexpunged criminal record should not be allowed to take such trips. The corresponding changes to the Labor Code Ministry of Transport posted for public discussion on November 27.
"Restricting the contacts of such persons with minors, namely a complete ban on work related to organized transportation of children, will help to secure the latter and protect them from criminal encroachments. The initiative concerns both Russians and labor migrants from the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union", - reported in the Ministry of Transport.
Now bus drivers are subject to the general requirements of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation as for drivers of public transport. At the same time, drivers of passenger cabs are not allowed to travel with an unexpunged or unexpunged conviction for serious and especially serious crimes (murder, intentional infliction of serious harm to health, kidnapping, robbery, robbery and others) or if subjected to criminal prosecution for such crimes.
November 19, it was reported that the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation is preparing changes to the traffic rules, according to which the minimum age for driving personal mobility equipment (PME) will be raised from 14 to 16 years. This was stated by Deputy Director of the Department of State Policy in the field of automobile and urban passenger transport of the agency Vladimir Lugovenko. In the near future, the Ministry of Transport will finalize these changes to the traffic rules and will submit them for public discussion, he said.
