The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have lost 500 soldiers in the town of Toretsk in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) over 10 days. This was announced by the commander of the AFU, Andriy Onistrata, on Wednesday, November 27.

According to him, the military disappeared during the rotation of units in the city. The command of the replacement brigade tried to drive past the occupied positions in four armored vehicles.

"Four armored vehicles, minus 40 men. They disappeared. It's not that they weren't escorted. And they disappeared," - quotes the words of Onistrat edition "Strana.ua" in Telegram-channel.

It is noted that this situation during the rotation was repeated for 10 days. As a result, the enemy lost 500 personnel.

Earlier, on November 13, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Dubinsky, who is in a Ukrainian detention center on charges of state treason, said that the daily losses of the AFU amount to 1.5 thousand people. It was noted that the Ukrainian authorities plan to mobilize another 160,000 people within three months.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
