Emergency mode is introduced in Blagoveshchensk due to the consequences of snowfall


In Blagoveshchensk, the Commission for Emergency Situations decided to introduce a state of emergency due to a snowstorm. This was reported by the city administration in Telegram-channel on Wednesday, November 27.
"All forces and means are directed to combat the consequences of the "storm of the century". GSTK and the attracted equipment are working around the clock. Drivers are urged not to park cars in drive-in pockets and along the roadsides - it complicates the work of special vehicles", - stated in the message.
It is noted that schoolchildren are transferred to distance learning until Friday, November 29, inclusive. It is also reported that employers independently decide on the transfer to a remote format or reduction of working hours.
On the same day, airplanes from Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg and Vladivostok left for an alternate airfield in Khabarovsk in the morning due to snowfall in Blagoveshchensk.
On November 27, the Governor of the Amur Region Vasily Orlov reported that almost three decades of precipitation had fallen in Blagoveshchensk during the day. According to forecasters, snowfall will continue for at least another day. Residents are also advised not to use personal cars without special necessity.
