"Rostelecom has canceled the surcharge for the use of mobile communication services in Crimea. The operator submitted a letter with the relevant information to the FAS of Russia, the service reported on November 27.

"From November 20, 2024 during the stay of subscribers in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol minutes, SMS and gigabytes are spent from the package or paid under the standard terms of the tariff plan", - specified in the FAS.

Earlier, the cellular operator "T2 Mobile" canceled the surcharge for the use of mobile communication services in Crimea. PJSC "Vimpelcom" will bring tariffs to the level of the home region from January 1, 2025.

October 31, it was reported that the FAS ordered MTS and MegaFon to stop charging additional fees from subscribers in Crimea. They noted that in August they initiated proceedings against the operators of the "Big Three" for failure to comply with previously issued warnings to cancel additional fees for their subscribers for the use of communication services in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol. The agency found that charging additional fees in the absence of economic, technological and other justification infringes the interests of subscribers.
