Air defense systems overnight intercepted 22 AFU drones over Russian regions

Air defense means intercepted 22 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over Russian regions during the night. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry in its Telegram channel on Wednesday, November 27.

"On-duty air defense means intercepted and destroyed 22 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles: 10 UAVs - over the territory of Rostov region, seven - over the territory of Belgorod region, two - over the territory of Voronezh region and one each over the territories of Kursk, Bryansk and Smolensk regions," the report said.

On the same day, acting governor Yuri Slyusar reported that in the Rodionovo-Nesvetai district of the Rostov region air defense means intercepted 10 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the night.

It is specified that there are no casualties and destruction on the ground.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
