The Defense Ministry showed footage of the Terminator BMPT combat vehicle in operation

On November 27, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of a Terminator BMPT combat vehicle operating in combat conditions as part of an armored group of the Southern Group of Forces in the Kurakhov area.

With the help of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), the scouts detected a Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) stronghold, after which they transmitted the data to an assault unit reinforced by two T-80BV tanks. The tanks were assisted by the crew of the Terminator tank support combat vehicle (TSCV) when carrying out their combat missions.

"We are a very formidable weapon for the enemy, so we are constantly being hunted," said the operator of the Terminator BMPT with the call sign Stolin.

The commander of the combat vehicle with the call sign Kaluga said that the combat vehicle is equipped with a detection system. When the system detects the enemy's pointing, it begins to emit a sound signal, at which time the crew fires a smoke shell to camouflage itself and disrupt the pointing.

Kaluga noted that at the moment the main tasks of the Terminator BMPT crew are to destroy enemy infantry, strongholds and cover convoys.

Thanks to the cover of the BMPT, the armored group successfully withdrew to safe areas after completing its combat tasks.

The Terminator tank support vehicle is a multipurpose, highly protected tracked combat fire support vehicle with powerful armament, modern fire control equipment and high maneuverability. "Terminator" is capable of engaging lightly armored targets, tanks and BMPs. One of the features of these combat vehicles is the ability to fight helicopters and low-flying targets of the enemy together with the army air defense, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

A day earlier, the Defense Ministry reported that the crew of the army aviation Mi-28NM helicopter destroyed an enemy stronghold in the border area of the Kursk region. The agency also showed footage of the combat operation.

The Ukrainian military attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
