A Kornet PTRK unit destroyed a group of AFU BMPs in the border area of the Kursk Region

Units of the Guards Airborne Assault Don Cossack Regiment from Feodosia of the Novorossiysk Guards Mountain Division of the Airborne Troops (VDV) have hit an infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) from the border areas of the Kursk Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 27.

The calculation of anti-tank missile system (PTRK) "Kornet" Crimean paratroopers eliminated. Paratroopers with the help of means of objective video control detected the AFU BMP, moving along a country road in a column of two armored vehicles.

Having received the task of destroying the target, the Kornet anti-tank missile system (ATMS) unit promptly moved to a firing position. With an accurate launch of a guided missile from the anti-tank guided missile launcher (ATGM), the anti-tank paratroopers hit the AFU BMP with the crew. The second armored vehicle tried to escape to the rear, but was subsequently caught up by the FPV drone formation.

"There is always work, in all directions. And here it is here. The Nazis are reducing the pace, they are running out of equipment. Thanks to us and other units that are working on it tightly," - said the operator of the PTRK with the call sign Neptune.

Earlier, on November 25, the Defense Ministry reported that the crew of the army aviation Mi-28NM helicopter destroyed an enemy stronghold in the border area of Kursk region. The agency also showed footage of the combat operation.

The Ukrainian military attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
