- The Defense Ministry published footage of combat operations to capture AFU dugouts in the Kursk region

On November 27, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of combat work on capturing dugouts, destroying armored vehicles and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the border area of Kursk Region, as well as conducting combat training sessions in the rear area of the servicemen of the Black Sea Fleet's Marine Brigade as part of the "North" troop grouping.
"Nowhere else than in the Marine Corps does a person work at once at the junction of three environments. This is water, this is land and this is sky. All this puts an imprint on this military profession," said a Marine serviceman with the call sign Botsman.
Thanks to continuous monitoring of the AFU's actions with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of airplane and quadrocopter type, it was possible in the shortest possible time to detect the main resistance nodes and dislodge the enemy from the dugouts equipped and camouflaged by the AFU.
The footage shows how one of the control points of the Black Sea Fleet's (BSF) marine infantry unit, which performs tasks as part of the "North" troop grouping, is continuously working to ensure combat operations in the areas of responsibility.
"We are guided by the principle 'there is no limit to perfection', and the guys are constantly honing their combat experience and sharing it with their comrades," commented the company's deputy commander with the call sign Stavropol.
The units of the "North" group of troops in the border area of Kursk region continue to follow the assault groups and consolidate themselves in the liberated territories.
In addition, scheduled training sessions on fire and engineering training, as well as the assault of the AFU position, are being held with Marine servicemen who arrived from the line of contact on rotation to the rear areas.
Earlier, on November 26, the Russian military destroyed four tanks and four infantry fighting vehicles of the AFU on the Kursk direction during the day. In total, the Ukrainian army lost more than 35,760 servicemen, 221 tanks and 156 BMPs during the fighting in the above direction.
The Ukrainian military attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
