Tokayev reported on the implementation of 49 promising projects by Russia and Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan and Russia are carrying out large-scale joint activities in energy, industry, transportation and logistics, agriculture and many other sectors, said the republic's president Kasym-Jomart Tokayev in his article, which was published in Izvestia.

"To date, more than 90 projects worth more than $18 billion have been implemented, and another 49 promising projects are in the execution stage," he said.

The President stressed that among the most significant ones are the start of construction of three cogeneration plants in Kazakhstan, modernization of Ekibastuzskaya TPP, as well as large-scale initiatives on gasification of a number of regions of Kazakhstan, increasing transit of Russian energy resources in the southern and eastern directions.
