- Tokayev called relations between Russia and Kazakhstan a model of strong and unbreakable friendship

The strategic partnership between Russia and Kazakhstan and their alliance are based on close historical and cultural ties, as well as shared responsibility for the future of the two peoples, said President of the Republic Kasym-Jomart Tokayev in his article, which was published in Izvestia.
"Our countries, despite unprecedented global challenges, show an example of good-neighborliness and multifaceted cooperation. Such cooperation is based on common interests, mutual respect, constructive political dialog at a high level," Tokayev said.
The Kazakh leader noted that he maintains regular contacts with Russian President Vladimir Putin, "characterized by frankness, business and mutual respect."
"This allows us to promptly resolve emerging issues and strengthen the truly friendly nature of relations between our states. Over the past year alone, the Russian president and I have held four full-scale talks, met on the margins of international events and talked on the phone on numerous occasions," Tokayev said.
