- A leg found on a bridge in St. Petersburg turned out to be the old remains of an animal

The leg, which the workers found in the Black River in St. Petersburg, turned out to be quite old and belonged to an animal. This was reported by TV channel "78" on November 26.
It is specified that the workers, having taken out the roll, were frightened, threw it back into the water and called the police. Divers examined the bottom and again pulled out the leg, of which there was only a bone wrapped in cloth. From its appearance, it appeared to be very old. In addition, religious pamphlets and instruments, presumably surgical, were found in the roll-up.
"Based on the examination of the presented bone fragments, we can unequivocally say that these fragments do not belong to a person, as they are massive," forensic expert Sergei Gavrilov told the TV channel.
He pointed out that there are no formations on the bone, by which it could be visually determined that it is human. In such situations, finds are given to zootechnicians who conduct expert examinations.
Divers were looking for other body parts, but because of the darkness their work was suspended.
Aleg near the Chernorechensky bridge in St. Petersburg was found earlier in the day. The footage, which is at the disposal of "Izvestia", shows the work of emergency services, including divers. In addition to other body fragments, specialists were also looking for any suspicious objects that might have been in the vicinity.
