Expert assesses AI's ability to replace humans

Over time, artificial intelligence will evolve into AGI - a system that will surpass human cognitive abilities and will not be limited by biological boundaries. Yaroslav Fertyakov, an expert on artificial intelligence and VR, speaker of the One AI Forum, told Izvestia on November 28 about whether AI will be able to replace humans.
According to the expert, artificial intelligence represents the next stage of evolutionary development after humans, so it should be responsible for what it is taught.
"But what is unequivocal is that in many areas and professions, artificial intelligence has already surpassed humans. And it's not just robots at production facilities and robot cleaners: AI is already partially replacing designers, artists, marketers, lawyers and even programmers," Fertyakov noted.
According to him, artificial intelligence is increasingly developing in a multimodal direction, and its global market exceeds $515 billion. Over the next five years, it could contribute up to $13 trillion to the global economy. In addition, significant changes in the world that will affect everyone could happen as soon as 25 years from now.
"In 2025, OpenAI's director is already promising super-powered AI. The evolution of artificial intelligence is now developing exponentially, and if it doesn't come down to hardware capacity, we will definitely live in a completely different world by 2050," the expert added.
Fertyakov explained that artificial intelligence will provide a breakthrough in various spheres of science, a person will be able to cure all diseases, multiply his life, provide food abundance. Robots will accompany man in all affairs, strengthening and accelerating processes. Among the minuses, there is a chance that people will become too lazy.
"Nevertheless, AI is still a tool in the hands of humans. In the old days, blacksmiths forged metal with their hands and hammers. Now there are billions of types of machines, which take over most of the routine and hard work of a person, as well as multiply accelerate the processes," - summarized the expert.
Earlier, on November 21, Dmitry Solopov, President of PROGRESS Communications Group, told Izvestia that every third creative project in Russia is created using AI. This saves employees' time and helps them focus on more creative and strategic aspects.
