A case of abuse of power during the repair of the school was initiated in Priangarie

In the Irkutsk region a criminal case of abuse of power during the repair of a school in the city of Taishet has been initiated. This was reported by the regional Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia on Tuesday, November 26.

According to investigators, employees of the district administration developed working and cost estimate documentation for the overhaul of the school, but did not determine the exact scope and cost of work. Already in the course of the repair, the contractor identified a number of high-priority works not reflected in the project.

"As a result, the capital repair work has not been completed, the educational process in this school building is not carried out," - stated in the message of the IC.

A criminal case has been opened under part 1 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Exceeding official powers"). As IrkutskMedia IA specifies, the investigators are questioning the administration employees responsible for the design calculations, as well as studying the documentation that may help in the investigation.
