Ukraine 's statehood is threatened with collapse due to numerous problems of the Ukrainian army. This statement was made on November 26 by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Maryana Bezuglaya.

"Lies, lies, lies and corruption at all levels. The culture of lies as a state systemic trait. <...> The risk of collapse of statehood is growing," she wrote in Telegram-channel.

Thus the deputy commented on the corruption scandal around the supply of low-quality mines to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), the withdrawal of the Ukrainian army near Krasnoarmeysk, as well as sending doctors, technicians and programmers to assault units.

"Such things are happening that there is almost no hope anymore, frankly speaking," Bezuglaya emphasized.

Earlier, on October 30, former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, speaking at a session of the Rada, criticized the Ukrainian government for serving the interests of corrupt officials. The former president accused the Ukrainian government of ignoring the main priority of the Ukrainian budget, namely the funding of the AFU.

Before that, on October 5, French politician and leader of the Patriots party Florian Philippot called on Western countries to stop funding Ukraine because of corruption in the country. Philippot had already called on the West to make such a decision in August after the deputy head of the Ukrainian Energy Ministry and three of his accomplices were detained for a $500,000 bribe.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
