The ski season opened at the Bolshoi Vudyavr resort in Kirovsk, Murmansk Region. Pistes and elevators on the Northern slope started working on Tuesday, November 26.

Soon a new ropeway of 2 thousand meters will be working on the slope. Its capacity is from 1100 to 2250 people per hour, and the rolling stock is formed of panoramic cabins. Boarding will be carried out from the parking lot.

"We have made every effort to make recreation in Kirovsk comfortable and safe for all lovers of winter entertainment regardless of their age, experience and degree of sports training," said resort director Alexander Sergienko, he is quoted by IA "Beeport".

According to him, in 2024 the season opened a little later than usual. Throughout the year, the resort was presented at several major exhibitions, which should help increase the number of fans of the Khibiny slopes, Sergienko added.

Earlier "Izvestia" listed the top 10 regions of Russia, where you can relax in the mountains, staying not only in tents, but also in glamping, hotels and campgrounds. Among them are the Murmansk Region and the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
