Russian Investigative Committee completes investigation into fraud case of former Emergencies Ministry deputy head Baryshev

Investigative actions in the criminal case of fraud against the former deputy head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry Pavel Baryshev have been completed. This was reported in the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation on November 26.

"Investigative actions in the criminal case against the former Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters Pavel Baryshev have been completed. He is accused of fraud committed on a particularly large scale and falsification of evidence in court (part 4 of article 159, part 1 of article 303 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the department.

Materials of the case will be transferred to the prosecutor for approval of the indictment and sending to court, specified in the IC.

The criminal case against Baryshev was initiated in early September. It is established, in 2017-2019, he produced false documents on his right to provide housing and on their basis received in the Moscow region a three-room apartment worth at least 20 million rubles. After the discovery of these circumstances and the initiation of the case, the premises were seized.
