A magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck off the coast of Japan's Ishikawa Prefecture


An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 occurred off the coast of Ishikawa Prefecture in Japan, the Japan Meteorological Agency reported on its website on November 26.
Underground tremors with the origin at a depth of 10 km were recorded at 22:47 local time (16:47 Moscow time).
As specified in the agency, the epicenter of the earthquake was located near the western coast of the prefecture.
Earlier, on November 7, the earthquake with similar parameters occurred near the coast of the Japanese archipelago Kadzan about 1.2 thousand km to the south from Tokyo. The source of seismic event with a magnitude of 6.3 also lay at a depth of 10 km.
