Br101.5-108 per dollar is expected by early winter. Spartak Sobolev, head of research and investment strategies department at Alfa-Forex, told Izvestia on November 26.

"The ruble remains under pressure from geopolitical factors, which again strengthened financial sanctions from the West. Currency operations in the foreign trade activities of the Russian Federation are becoming even more expensive, which pushes the quotations of the dollar, euro, yuan to the maximums since last October," he said.

According to the expert, by early winter we expect the national currency to fluctuate in the range of 101.50-108 rubles per dollar, 106-112 rubles per euro and 13.80-15 rubles per yuan.

"It is likely that the arrival of a large supply of foreign currency from exporters can smooth the effect of ruble weakening," Sobolev added.

In October, Capital Lab partner Evgeny Shatov told Izvestia that the ruble is supported by a number of circumstances, including the growth of oil quotations. In addition, the tight monetary policy of the Central Bank's Board of Directors remains an important factor, the expert added.
