The Lithuanian Prosecutor General's Office considers technical malfunction as the main version of the crash of a DHL cargo plane in Vilnius. This was stated to journalists on November 26 by prosecutor Arturas Urbialis.

"We have navigation data, we have video recordings, you have heard the explanations of the commissioner general and specialists that the incident occurred during landing. <...> The situation clearly indicates that maybe the technical reception capabilities [of the flight] were poor. Maybe some interference occurred in the airplane, perhaps due to some negligence," broadcaster LRT quoted him as saying.

According to the prosecutor, the investigation is now moving in that direction, and the investigation into a possible terrorist attack is not underway due to a lack of grounds.

The DHL plane crashed in Vilnius the previous day. It went down near a two-story apartment building at 06:31 Moscow time. There were four people on board - two pilots and two employees, one of them died. At the crash site there was a fire, 12 people were evacuated from the house.

Later it turned out that before landing the crew requested information about weather conditions from the dispatcher of the capital's airport. Lithuania's National Crisis Management and Police Center also said that the cause of the crash could have been "caused by technical problems" or human error.
