Autoblogger detained after BMW hits pedestrians in Moscow region

Autoblogger was detained on suspicion of committing a traffic accident in Odintsovo near Moscow. This was reported in the Telegram-channel of the Prosecutor's office of the Moscow region.

According to investigators, on the night of November 16, on one of the toll plots of the federal highway near the city of Odintsovo, the driver of a BMW car failed to cope with the control, and his car hit the citizens standing on the side of the road.

As a result of the accident two people were injured and taken to hospital.

A criminal case has been opened under paragraph "b" of part 2 of article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of road traffic and operation of vehicles") and article 267.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Actions threatening the safe operation of vehicles").

"In the near future the court with the participation of a representative of the Prosecutor's office will consider the issue of election of a measure of restraint against a 26-year-old man," - said in the message of the department.

The circumstances of the incident are being clarified. The investigation is controlled by the Odintsovo city prosecutor's office.

According to Izvestia's source, the detained blogger is Gadzhi Gadzhiev. He came to the law enforcers with a confession.

Earlier in the day it was reported that the driver, who hit five pedestrians in Chelyabinsk and left the scene of the accident, was arrested for 15 days.

According to the man, he did not immediately realize that he hit people, otherwise he would have stopped. It seemed to the driver that he hit the fence of the safety island with his mirror on the turn.
