Naryshkin pointed to the West's attempts to destabilize the situation in the world

The West is deliberately going to destabilize the situation in the world, realizing the loss of its former power. This statement was made on November 26 by Sergei Naryshkin, director of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR).
"They are trying to convince the rest of the world as if the only alternative to the West's power is chaos, and for this purpose they are deliberately going to destabilize the situation in key regions of the planet," he said at the 20th session of the Meeting of Heads of Security Agencies and Intelligence Services of the CIS member states in Moscow.
In addition, he noted that Western countries "will act in their own manner" and try to create chaos on the territory of the CIS states, Gazeta.ru reports.
According to Naryshkin, the increasingly complicated international situation forces the special services of the Commonwealth of Independent States member states to work more intensively and effectively.
On the eve of the head of the NATO Military Committee Rob Bauer said that the alliance is discussing the possibility of launching preventive strikes against Russia in case of conflict with it. It was specified that in case of a hypothetical attack, the alliance should try to strike with high-precision means to hit launchers in Russia.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that this statement shows NATO's true intentions. According to him, the alliance countries have thrown away all decency.
The West regularly stirs up hysteria among the citizens of their countries, warning of an allegedly imminent war with Russia. Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly said that nothing of the sort is in the country's plans.
