The bodies of three people were found near the coast of the Egyptian resort town of Marsa Alam after the crash of a tourist yacht. This was reported by the newspaper Al Masry Al Youm on Tuesday, November 26.

"During search and rescue operations to find those missing in the disaster off the Red Sea coast, the bodies of three people were found, while 13 people are still missing," Major General Amr Hanafi, governor of the Red Sea province, confirmed to the publication.

It is noted that search and rescue operations have been underway since November 25. The search involves the forces of the Navy (Navy) of the country, marine vessels and helicopters.

The yacht sank the day before. The Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Hurghada reported that there were no Russians among the passengers. The ship was carrying tourists from 12 countries: Americans, Belgians, Britons, Chinese, Finns, Germans, Irish, Poles, Slovaks, Spaniards and Swiss. A total of 44 people were on board, including 31 tourists and 13 crew members.

Later, the BBC, citing Egyptian authorities, reported that 17 people were missing as a result of the sinking of the yacht. At the time, Hanafi specified that the Egyptian Navy and military aviation have intensified measures to search for the missing.
