Russian Armed Forces destroy four AFU tanks in the Kursk border area over 24 hours


The Russian military destroyed four tanks and four infantry fighting vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kursk region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 26.
"Over the day the losses of the AFU amounted to more than 250 servicemen. Four tanks, four infantry fighting vehicles, three armored fighting vehicles, eight vehicles and two mortars were destroyed. Two servicemen of the AFU surrendered as prisoners of war," the bulletin said.
In total, during the fighting in the above direction, the Ukrainian army lost more than 35,760 servicemen, 221 tanks and 156 BMPs.
A day earlier, the Defense Ministry reported that the crew of the army aviation Mi-28NM helicopter destroyed an enemy stronghold in the border area of the Kursk region. The agency also showed footage of the combat operation.
The Ukrainian military attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
