Two criminal cases opened in Ufa after mass brawl at school


Two criminal cases were initiated after a mass brawl in a school in Ufa. This was reported on November 26 by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in Bashkortostan.
"Two criminal cases have been opened on the grounds of crimes under part 2 of article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Hooliganism committed by a group of persons"), part 1 of article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence"), on the report of a mass brawl of students of a school in the city of Ufa," the agency said in its Telegram channel.
According to investigators, the fight took place the night before, on November 25. It involved pupils of 10th and 11th grades. The scuffle was stopped by school staff, but after the incident several teenagers needed medical assistance.
The republican Investigative Committee added that now investigative actions are carried out, a set of forensic examinations is appointed to investigate the causes of the fight and to determine the degree of damage to the health of its participants. The actions of the school staff and students will be given a legal assessment. It will be checked how well the staff of the educational institution conducts preventive work and ensures the safety of children on the territory of the school.
Earlier, on October 14, the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan reported that in Derbent at least 20 schoolchildren beat up a ninth-grader for money. The family of the victim said that the instigator of the fight paid all participants 500 rubles each "for favor and support". The teaching staff of the school did not deal with the incident, and the parents of the beaten boy wrote a statement to the police.
