Ex-television hostess Lazareva has been confirmed on charges in the case of terrorist propaganda

Moscow Prosecutor's Office has approved the indictment in the case of terrorist propaganda against ex-TV host Tatyana Lazareva (recognized in Russia as a foreign agent, included in the list of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring). This was reported by the press service of the Moscow department on Tuesday, November 26.

The former TV presenter is charged under part 2 of article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public calls for the implementation of terrorist activities").

It is established that in August 2023 Lazareva during an interview justified terrorist attacks on the territory of the Russian Federation with the use of UAVs.

The case was transferred to the 2nd Western District Military Court for consideration.

"A measure of restraint in the form of detention in absentia was chosen against Lazareva, she is on an international wanted list," the agency said in a statement in its Telegram channel.

The case against Lazareva was initiated on June 17. The former TV presenter was put on an international wanted list on October 11. It was specified that Lazareva has been living outside Russia for a long time.

June 19 this year, Rosfinmonitoring put Tatyana Lazareva on the list of terrorists and extremists. Later, on July 10, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation demanded the arrest of the TV host in absentia, bringing charges under the article. On the same day, the Zamoskvoretsky district court of the capital arrested her in absentia.

In July 2022, the Russian Ministry of Justice added the TV presenter to the register of foreign agents.
