Russia has been conducting a special military operation to protect civilians in Donbas since February 24, 2022. Units of the "West" group of forces liberated the settlement of Kopanki in Kharkiv region, units of the Southern group of forces improved the position on the front line, defeated the formations of the 23rd, 54th mechanized, 10th mountain assault brigades of the militants, and units of the "Center" group of forces continued advancing deep into the enemy defenses.

The Defense Ministry also added that operational-tactical aviation, attack drones, missile troops and artillery of the Russian Armed Forces' groups of troops defeated the infrastructure of military airfields, UAV control points, from which they launched kamikaze drones at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, as well as concentrations of enemy manpower and military equipment in 135 areas.

In addition, over the past 24 hours, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) recorded five shellings and three attacks with the use of copter-type drones on the settlement of Energodar and the territory adjacent to the Zaporizhzhya NPP. No one was injured as a result of the provocation, one administrative building was slightly damaged.

At the same time, it is noted that air defense means shot down six Hammer guided bombs, a HIMARS multiple launch rocket system and 71 unmanned aerial vehicles of aircraft type, including 56 outside the zone of the special military operation.

A total of 649 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 36,719 unmanned aerial vehicles, 586 anti-aircraft missile systems, 19,508 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,492 multiple rocket launchers, 18,562 field artillery and mortar guns, and 28,739 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation.
