Fraudsters swindled almost 85 million rubles from the head of the economic security department of a Moscow oncology center. This was reported by the source of "Izvestia" on Tuesday, November 26.

The attackers deceived the 65-year-old man for two months, communication took place in messenger. Under the pretext of transferring funds to a "safe account", the criminals convinced the victim to withdraw 29 million rubles, put them in a pre-purchased sports bag and give them to the "courier", saying the code word.

Over the next few days, the same scheme resulted in another 50 million rubles in the hands of the fraudsters.

Later, the criminals called again and said that the man allegedly issued two loans of 15 million rubles each and they need to close early. At the same time, the attackers convinced the victim that all costs allegedly will be reimbursed. From one loan villains "refused", announcing that the loan was recognized as invalid, and the second will still have to pay.

The man borrowed from acquaintances and gave the "courier" 5.6 million rubles, after which he realized that he had become a victim of criminals, and turned to law enforcement. The damage is estimated at Br84.6 million, and a check is being conducted.

As it turned out later, the victim is a former employee of the institution.

On the instructions of the attackers for several days Muscovite withdrew funds in different banks and transferred to unknown persons who called the code word. An investigation is underway.
