Russian Armed Forces liberate the village of Kopanki in Kharkiv region

Russian units of the "West" group of forces have liberated the village of Kopanki in Kharkiv Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry at a briefing on Tuesday, November 26.

"The 43rd, 44th, 67th mechanized, 25th airborne brigades of the AFU and the 115th brigade of tera defense were defeated in terms of manpower and equipment," the Defense Ministry noted.

The fighters also repelled five counterattacks of militants, who lost up to 440 people in the zone of responsibility of the "West".

In addition, the Russian military hit the infrastructure of military airfields, control points of drones, from which launches were carried out at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant.

At the same time, air defense forces shot down six Hammer guided aerial bombs and a HIMARS multiple rocket launcher.

The Russian Armed Forces are actively advancing on the front, liberating populated areas. Thus, on November 22, it was reported that the settlement of Novodmitrovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) had been taken under control, and a day earlier - the liberation of Dalnego in the DNR.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
