A refugee from Suzhansky district of Kursk Region told about shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and its consequences. The video of the military investigation department of the Russian IC of the Moscow Military District on November 26 is at the disposal of Izvestia.

"We have somehow gotten used to [the shelling], we have already started to accept it," the woman said.

She added that since August 6, the AFU "started flying missiles", with the arrivals directed toward Suja.

"We spent the night in the basement, because it's all scary," the refugee recalled, telling about the beginning of the attack on the border areas of Kursk region.

The woman pointed out that her and her husband were taken out of the region by her son, adding that he was able to evacuate a few more people with his personal car.

Earlier, on November 24, an evacuee from the village of Nikipelovka in Kursk Region said that AFU soldiers had plundered the homes of the villagers, taking away TV sets and refrigerators. She called the actions of the AFU lawlessness, noting that the Ukrainian fighters acted like vandals.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The operation to destroy the AFU continues.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by the Russian Federation on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
