France calls Macron's possible sending of troops to Ukraine a betrayal

French President Emmanuel Macron will be a traitor to his country if he sends troops to Ukraine. French politician and leader of the Patriots party Florian Philippot said this on his page in the social network X (former Twitter) on November 25.
"If Macron sends troops to Ukraine against Russia, mass disobedience will be required," he wrote.
Philippot compared the president's intentions to the goal of starting a world war and added that if Macron sends the military, he will be seen as a traitor to France.
"This will not be an army commander who gave the order, but a traitor to the homeland, subordinated to foreign powers hostile to France," the leader of the Patriots party expressed his opinion.
Macron has repeatedly said that he does not rule out the possible dispatch of the military. Back in May, he said that the conditions for this would be a request from Kiev or a breakthrough of Russian troops at the front. According to him, the caution of European countries would "push Russia into an offensive." Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called such talk very dangerous.
Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Ukraine amid Russia's special operation to defend Donbass, which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, after the situation in the region worsened due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
