The Russian Foreign Ministry will provide international organizations with data on the shooting of civilians of the Donetsk People's Republic's (DNR) town of Selidovo by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU). This was stated by the Russian Foreign Ministry's ambassador for special assignments on crimes of the Kiev regime, Rodion Miroshnik, on November 26.

Miroshnik noted that the Russian Foreign Ministry collects data on the shooting of civilians in Selidovo.

"This shock content, prepared in a technological format, and [will be] presented at meetings of various international organizations," he told TASS, adding that the ministry intends to demand action from these organizations.

The ambassador specified that the evidence of what happened will be handed over to those countries that are ready to adequately perceive the facts related to Ukraine's violation of international humanitarian law.

"We now have documented things and stories of people who were confronted simply with shootings in the street, which took place literally there a week before the beginning of the liberation <...>: shootings in houses, shootings of people who were simply on the streets," he added.

According to Miroshnik, the AFU fighters shot all the civilians they saw in the scope. He called the number of dead shocking, specifying that data on casualties continues to come in.

The day before, Miroshnik said the AFU attempted to organize a "second Bucha" in Selidovo. According to him, evacuated residents reported mass killings of civilians by Ukrainian militants several days before the liberation of the city by the Russian Armed Forces (AF). The ambassador pointed out that the investigative bodies would be investigating the case using the testimonies of victims and witnesses.

Theliberation of Selidovo by fighters of the Center group became known on October 29. The town is located about 40 kilometers northwest of Donetsk and has an important strategic importance. The AFU equipped one of the largest fortifications here. Later, footage was published showing the replacement of the Ukrainian flag with the Russian tricolor by Russian Armed Forces soldiers on the roof of one of the multi-storey buildings.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
