Media pointed to Europe's inability to produce enough weapons for Kiev

Ukraine 's European allies cannot produce enough weapons to supply aid, so they are helping Kiev financially to produce them themselves. The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), a US newspaper, reported on November 25.
"If you increase capacity in Ukraine, we have to supply less weapons ourselves and we can build up our capacity again," said Dutch Admiral Rob Bauer, who heads NATO's Military Leaders Committee.
The publication points out that such an approach eliminates the involvement of the European government in production, which can slow down deliveries and increase their cost.
The material notes that the new supply scheme allows Kiev to receive weapons faster and in large volumes, as Europe concludes contracts directly with Ukrainian production facilities, Gazeta.Ru notes.
This scheme has already been supported by Norway, Sweden, Lithuania, Denmark and Germany.
Earlier, on October 23, the Swiss Federal Council said that it was becoming increasingly difficult for the USA and Europe to support Ukraine. It was noted that in the coming months, the existing conflicts and crises will pose a particular problem for Western states, as Washington will be busy with the presidential election campaign and the affairs of the new administration.
On October 14, Jean-Philippe Tanguy, a member of the French national assembly and a member of the National Rally party, said that there were budget problems in France because of aid to Ukraine.
Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Kiev amid Russia's special operation to protect Donbas, which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on 24 February 2022 after the situation in the region worsened due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
