When trying to lure an employee to a managerial position, it is necessary not to limit oneself to salary offers, experts interviewed told Izvestia.

Igor Karavaev, Chairman of the Presidium of the Association of Retail Trade Companies (ACORT), noted that in addition to monetary motivation, large retail companies attract managers with a well-developed corporate culture, the possibility of growth and implementation of projects nationwide.

Denis Zhalnin, Director of the federal wall materials plant "Winzer", noted that previously a 20% increase in salary was an almost guaranteed argument for moving from one company to another, but now the situation has changed. In the market it becomes important not just to find the right employee, but to analyze his real needs and to form an offer already taking into account the expectations of a particular candidate.

"Mass programs to attract and retain staff are not as effective now as they used to be, now it is more of an individual story. We analyzed, about 70% of top employees who got a job in a company would refuse an offer that provided them only an increase in income," the expert said.

Now often potential employees-managers have to be collected from all over Russia, to provide relocation, arrangement of family members, children to school, kindergarten, clubs and help them solve basic household issues, the expert added.
