A new rifle has been developed for special forces

The Titan semi-automatic rifle has been developed for Russian special purpose units. It is lighter than analogs and has high accuracy. This was told to "Izvestia" in the company-manufacturer SWC.
The novelty is a weapon of caliber .308, made of domestic components. According to the developers, structurally it is an analog of the German product Heckler & Koch-417, but has several advantages compared to it. For example, it is lighter - it weighs 3.6 kg against 4.5 kg.
Volunteers are already buying the rifle for Russian troops on the front lines.
"The military in their reviews note the reliability of the design, accuracy, heap accuracy. The heap accuracy is 0.3 angular minutes. This means that at a distance of 100 meters there will be a hit in a circle with a diameter of less than a centimeter. The .308 caliber cartridge is powerful, reliable, in Russia it is produced in various versions, even in armor-piercing. That's why the rifle is popular with the Russian military," a representative of the SWC manufacturing company told Izvestia.
Such rifles will be useful for special forces fighters or scouts, Colonel Alexander Perendzhiev, an associate professor at the Plekhanov Russian Economic University, told Izvestia.
"A light rifle will allow to take more ammunition, explosives or equipment with them. In assignments that require a lot of time and long walks, this is important. The lighter the rifle, the less fatigue. All these qualities in the end allow a fighter, all other things being equal, to save energy, and this increases the survivability of both himself and the entire unit," Perendzhiev explained.
