Obraztsov Theater has found a way to fight speculators from doppelganger sites

The Obraztsova Puppet Theater told Izvestia how they had independently conducted an investigation and identified a network of fraudsters speculating on tickets. Doppelganger sites feel impunity on the Internet. Many cultural institutions can not defeat them - after one closes, new ones open, similar to the official resources.

A single click on the file is all it takes to debit the money

The Obraztsov Puppet Theater decided not to wait for the resellers to be caught and punished. Lawyers drew attention to the facts of using the intellectual property of theaters by doubles without obtaining rights for such activities.

"Intellectual property may include photos of performances, description of performances, artistic design, trademark of the theater. In such a case, the theater can even demand compensation in the manner prescribed by civil law. We consider this method of influence promising and effective, as it allows not just to block the resource on the Internet (it is not so difficult to create a new one), but to bring to specific material responsibility," - told "Izvestia" the director of the Obraztsov Theater Elena Bulukova.

The theater needs to prove that the site-doppelganger belongs to a specific legal entity, but not always such information is in the public domain. According to Elena Bulukova, the theater made control purchases of tickets for its own performances in order to obtain details of the organization, which is engaged in their illegal distribution.
