FAS fined four logistics centers for violations of the law on trade

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has fined four logistics centers for violations of the law on trade. This was reported to "Izvestia" by the service in response to a request to control the pricing of the cost of potatoes, which has risen in price by more than 70% since the beginning of the year according to official data from Rosstat.
"FAS is analyzing the prices of a number of socially important food products, including potatoes of "first price". The service notes that between producers and retail stores there may be one or more wholesale organizations and transport companies involved in logistics, storage, processing, sorting, packaging, which also affects the final cost of the product," the service told Izvestia.
At the same time, the agency similarly exercises control in the above intermediary links.
"For example, the territorial bodies of the FAS have already initiated four cases against logistics centers. They were recognized as violating the law on trade and fined," - explained in the service.
