The situation in Georgia at the moment remains calm, there is no danger for Russian tourists in the republic, the Russian interests section at the Swiss Embassy in Georgia told Izvestia.

"The current political confrontation does not pose any immediate danger to Russian tourists. Nevertheless, we recommend all our citizens staying on the territory of Georgia, if possible, to refrain from visiting places of mass gathering of people, places of demonstrations and protests," the diplomats said.

As of the evening of November 25, no appeals to the section of Russian citizens in connection with mass political actions have been recorded, the diplomatic mission added.

"We also have no information about any incidents related to violation of security of Russian citizens," the section emphasized.

Localized protests have been going on for almost a month in Georgia over the results of the parliamentary elections.
