- A serviceman from Dagestan, who rescued soldiers near Kherson, was awarded the title of Hero of Russia

Magomed Isbakiyev, a serviceman who rescued soldiers near Kherson, has been awarded the title of Hero of Russia. This was announced by the head of the Republic of Dagestan Sergey Melikov on November 25.
"Performing one of the difficult reconnaissance tasks, he ensured the evacuation of the main group at the cost of his life," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
According to Melikov, officers of the 45th Guards Special Forces Brigade of the Airborne Troops (VDV) appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a petition to award the title of Hero of Russia to Isbakiyev, a reconnaissance officer. In response, Putin said that it is very important when it is fellow servicemen who petition for their battle buddy, adding that the decision will be made without any doubt.
"And this decision has been made. Magomed was awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation by presidential decree!" - concluded the head of Dagestan.
Earlier, on November 13, fighter Zakarya Aliyev, who fought alone against the AFU and was rescued by the military of the battalion "Alania", told what helped him to survive. Aliyev's rescue became known on November 9. The Russian Armed Forces fighter from Dagestan spent three weeks alone repelling attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, eating only onions and hiding in a dugout. Using a drone, scouts were able to locate Aliyev, after which they evacuated the serviceman. The head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, called Aliyev a hero.
