Trade turnover between Russia and Tunisia could exceed $2 bln

The trade turnover between Russia and Tunisia may exceed the $2 billion mark, with Moscow increasing export supplies to the Arab country, the Russian Embassy in the Republic of Tunisia told Izvestia.

"The bilateral turnover at the end of 2023 is close to the mark of $2 billion. There is every reason to expect that this impressive figure will be exceeded," the Russian diplomatic mission said.

Now the transition to national currencies in mutual settlements between the countries is being discussed, the embassy said.

"However, financial affairs require particularly thorough elaboration. And the steady increase in the volume of Russian exports here is a clear confirmation that everything is going well with mutual settlements," the diplomatic mission said.
