Politico reported on Kamala Harris' plans to continue her political career

U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris is considering options for continuing her political career, including running for governor of California and participating in the next presidential election, which will be held in 2028. This was reported by the newspaper Politico on November 25.

According to the newspaper's interlocutors, Harris has repeatedly stated that she "will continue to fight." The Vice President intends to discuss further plans with her family during the winter holidays.

The newspaper specified that Harris has chances to successfully participate in the presidential race in 2028 as a more moderate candidate from the Democratic Party. In addition, the vice president will be able to run for governor of California, after which he will be able to launch a presidential campaign again.

Earlier, on November 21, White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said that Harris needed a vacation in Hawaii after her election defeat. Harris left for vacation on November 19, and her office notes in the schedule of the Vice President no public events for the following days.

The election for the 47th president of the United States took place on Nov. 5. In the national vote, Trump received 51% of the vote, while Democratic candidate Kamala Harris received 47.4%. The next day, the politician, speaking to supporters, called himself the 47th President of the United States and said that his goal as head of state considers the end of military conflicts in the world.

After the defeat, Harris came out to supporters with a speech during which she thanked them and the incumbent president for their support. She said her team would help Trump carry out the transition of power.
