A petition demanding early parliamentary elections in the UK has collected about 2.5 million signatures. This is stated on the website of the British Parliament.

Such an initiative was created last weekend, it says that it is necessary to hold another vote - just four months after the convincing victory of the Labor Party, as they "abandoned their promises made in the run-up to the last election," informed Sky News.

According to the broadcaster, the UK government has faced a major backlash over some of the policies it has introduced, including inheritance tax for farmers, cuts to winter fuel payments, an increase in employers' national insurance and the application of VAT to private school tuition fees.

At the end of August this year, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer claimed that in the first weeks in power after winning the July 4 parliamentary elections, the Labor Party discovered a "black hole" of £22 billion (€25.8 billion - Ed.) in the UK state budget. In addition to the kingdom's economic problems, Starmer also drew attention to the social ones: vandalism, racism and violence reigned in the country.
