Pentagon deputy press secretary Sabrina Singh refused to specify when Ukraine will receive anti-personnel mines from the USA. This is reported on November 25 on the official website of the U.S. Department of Defense.

"For most equipment, we do not announce when it arrives in the country," she said during the briefing.

According to Singh, only the Kiev authorities have the right to disclose such information.

"We allow Ukrainians to talk about it, so I don't have a delivery date that you could announce," she concluded.

Earlier, on November 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Ukraine had used Western long-range weapons against the Russian state, causing the regional conflict to take on elements of a global conflict. He also said that one of Russia's newest medium-range missile systems, the Oreshnik ballistic missile, had been tested in combat conditions in response to the aggression. The strike was carried out at the Yuzhmash plant in Dnipropetrovsk.

On the same day, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Washington was trying to raise as much money as possible to prolong the fighting in Ukraine before U.S. leader-elect Donald Trump takes office. She noted that the Pentagon is accelerating military aid to Kiev, increasing the volume of supplies every day.

A day earlier, The Washington Post (WP) reported that incumbent US President Joe Biden approved the supply of anti-personnel mines to Ukraine to "deter the advance of Russian troops." WP recalled that in 2022 he renewed the ban on the use of such mines, effectively reversing the decision of his predecessor Donald Trump.

The special operation to protect Donbass, which began on February 24, 2022, is ongoing. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
