Lieutenant Taldykin defused a disguised explosive device in the SWO area

Private Igor Orlov detected the movement of vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and ensured their destruction. On Tuesday, November 26, the Russian Defense Ministry told about new feats of Russian army servicemen in the zone of the special military operation (SMO).

Orlov carried out the tasks of adjusting artillery fire, as well as monitoring the results of fire defeat of enemy forces. During the observation, the private discovered that the AFU was moving several of its vehicles, as well as changing the position of enemy assault units.

Orlov promptly established and transmitted to the command post the new coordinates of the enemy forces. This made it possible to eliminate the vehicles and personnel of the AFU by the aimed fire of Russian artillery and mortars. The Ukrainian side was forced to retreat.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the professionalism of Lieutenant Eduard Taldykin, who defused an explosive device during an engineering reconnaissance on the way of the Russian troops' advance.

Taldykin's team covertly surveyed the area for mines and other explosive hazards. Seven unexploded cluster munitions were found, as well as two UXO dropped from drones. All objects were eliminated by team engineers.

Further inspection of the area revealed a log lying across the path, on which, upon further inspection, Taldykin noticed an explosive device attached to the tree and disguised. The lieutenant disarmed the explosive, after which the sappers removed the obstacle from the route.

In the course of the group's work, more than 12 kilometers of the route were cleared of explosive devices.

Earlier, on November 25, the Defense Ministry said that Private Vladimir Varich detected an approaching sabotage group of the AFU consisting of seven people, reported about the approaching saboteurs, took an advantageous position and opened fire from a machine gun on the enemy, constraining his movement. As a result, the enemy suffered casualties and was forced to retreat.

Prior to that, on November 24, the Defense Ministry noted the actions of Guards Private Ivan Bogach, whose unit under the command of which performed a combat mission to defend one of the settlements. The Defense Ministry also drew attention to the merits of the UAV operator, Guards Private Andrei Dynda, who carried out tasks to detect military equipment, positions of firearms, as well as sabotage and reconnaissance groups (DRGs) of the enemy.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the aggravated situation in the region.
