Rescuers in Turkey find alive elderly couple lost during bad weather


In Turkey, rescuers have found alive an elderly couple who got lost while returning home during bad weather. About it on Monday, November 25, reports Akdenizgercek.
According to the portal, 70-year-old Najia and Mustafa Akınu got lost due to unfavorable weather conditions and snowfall in the Akseki district of Antalya.
In footage published on social media, the elderly woman can be seen refusing to leave the shelter, fearing that rescuers would not take care of the sheep and chicken she was caring for.
The rescue team safely pulled the couple out of the shelter and handed them over to medics.
Earlier, on October 1, Taiwanese rescuers evacuated 19 sailors, including three Russians, from a sinking cargo ship near Lanyu Island. The bulk carrier Blue Lagoon was traveling under the flag of Barbados. The crew discovered a leak in the engine compartment 18 miles from shore and decided to abandon ship.
