Ukrainian media reported on the desire of Ukrainians to move to new regions of Russia

A significant part of Ukrainians want to return to the territories annexed by Russia. This was reported by the Strana.ua news and analysis website on 25 November.
"From the communication of Strana journalists in recent months with migrants <...> we can conclude that there are many people who want to return," the publication informed in its Telegram channel.
It is specified that the "apartment issue" is one of the main motives for Ukrainians who seek to obtain a Russian passport and ownership of housing under Russian laws. At the same time, some of those who want to carry out such an operation intend to do it only in order to sell the apartment and then leave Russia.
The publication added that there are also those who, having encountered difficulties in settling in Europe or Ukraine, want to return to their homes. Some refugees who have not found good jobs in the European Union (EU) are reportedly considering moving to the Russian Federation. There is also a high proportion of Ukrainians who simply miss their hometown very much.
According to "Strana.ua", the growth of such sentiments is also facilitated by the exemplary pace of Mariupol's recovery.
On this day in Ukraine announced the return of 150 thousand people to the new regions of Russia. It is specified that about 70 thousand of them returned to Mariupol.
Before that, on November 14, it was reported that a third of the refugees who had previously left for Ukraine returned to Mariupol. It was noted that the reason for the return to the city are unresolved housing issues in Ukraine.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
